A young Ojibwa boy grows up with this grandfather's teachings and learns the values of life through the lessons of history, culture and the natural enviormnent. His willingness to learn these important life-values gives an additional sense of accomplishemnt to his grandfather's life and, in return, the grandfather gives his Eagle feather to the young boy. This act of giving is an honour among the Native people who revere the all-seeing messenger of the Creater, the eagle.
