"Using updated population projections to reflect recent demographic changes, this study examines potential future trends in the Canadian labour force up to 2041. It seeks to answer the following questions: What will the Canadian labour force look like once all baby boomers have reached the usual retirement age? Is it possible to find a new equilibrium between labour force entries and exits after 2030? How could the size, demographic weight and composition of the labour force change over the next 20 years?
