For years, as one of Toronto's 50 or so street nurses, Cathy Crowe has tended to the needs of the homeless. But she is also a passionate advocate on behalf of the homeless, writing letters to editors, appearing on radio and television, making submissions to the United Nations, and pleading with various levels of government, as she tries to get long term, permanent help for those who have fallen through the cracks and found themselves subsisting on society's margins.
