Audrey Flowers is living quietly in Oregon with Winnifred, her tortoise, when she learns that her father has been knocked into a coma back in Newfoundland. Preparing to fly home, Audrey leaves Winnifred with unreliable friends. This will be her first mistake; the second will be disarming an Air Marshal en route to St. John's.
